us$100/week worth of utility expanses is included in the rent. Should you exceed the $100 weekly allowance; the difference will be deducted from your security deposit. You can easily prevent this from happening by following our suggestions.*
*Electricity is extremely expensive in Mexico. To make sure you are not exceeding your weekly allowance we suggest you use the Air conditioning only in times when you are actually in the rooms. Whenever you leave the house, please make sure all AC’s, lights and other appliances are turned off.
- Smoking: is allowed in patio, pool area and terrace, but not in the rooms.
- Alcohol: okay by us, But please act responsibly.
A 50% Deposit or the rental is due within 3 days from the date Casa Merida confirms availability and your reservation request. The remaining 50% (+ security deposit*) is due fourteen days (14) prior to arrival date. In case your reservation is made two weeks or less prior to arrival then a payment in full is due within two days from the date Casa Merida confirms availability and reservations.
1) To cover the replacement of lost and/or damaged items.
2) In the event that the utility bill exceeds the sum of $100/week (See “Utilities”)
Deposit will be refunded in full within 7 days of departure, unless a loss, damage or surpassing the $100 weekly allowance for utilities is determined by the property manager. In such a case your deposit minus applicable deductions, if any, will be refunded to you within 7 days of departure.

Our pool is not fenced and we cannot guarantee their safety. By having a child or children with you during you stay you assume full responsibility for their safety.
By having a child or children with you during your stay, you acknowledge and do so with the full understanding that you wave any right to sue the owner and or/demand to be reimbursed for any expanses, damages or loses incurred as a result.
Casa Merida accepts payments via direct deposit to our bank account in either the US or Mexico. We Accept all credit cards paid via PayPal. Please Note: there is a 3% surcharge for credit cards payments.
Instructions regarding deposit, cancellation policies and other instructions will be emailed once reservation is confirmed.
A $300 Cancellation fee will be imposed in the event that the cancellation occurs thirty days or more prior to check-in date.
If cancellation occurs less than thirty (30) days from check-in date, renter will be liable for fifty percent (50%) of the rental cost; unless owner is able to re-rent the property for the period property was reserved*. In such a case the deposit, minus $300 cancellation fee, will be refunded to renter.
If cancellation occurs 10 days or less prior to check-in date, Renter will be liable for the entire amount of the rental cost; unless owner is able to re-rent the property for the period property was reserved*. In such a case the deposit, minus $300 cancellation fee, will be refunded to renter.
* Owner will make all reasonable efforts to re-rent the Rental.
NO REFUNDS are issued for last day cancellation, arrival on a later date than originally reserved, failing to show up or for early departure.
